Point Repair (Localized CIPP) by CIPP Guru
CIPP Lining

Point Repair, Localized CIPP

One bad section does not always need a whole-line liner. A spot repair reinforces just the damaged length of the pipe.

What it is

The details, in plain English.

Sometimes the camera shows a pipe that is sound except for one trouble spot: a crack, a failed joint or a short root-damaged section. Relining the entire run would be more than the pipe needs.

A point repair, also called a spot repair or sectional liner, installs a short resin-saturated liner over the damaged length and cures it in place. It seals the defect with a structural sleeve at a fraction of the cost of lining the full line.

Best for

  • A single crack or joint defect
  • Short root-damaged sections
  • Budget-conscious repairs
  • Lines that are otherwise in good shape

Good questions

Questions, answered

How do I know if I need a point repair or a full liner?

The camera tells us. A few isolated defects suit point repairs, while widespread cracking or many bad joints call for a full-length liner.

Can a point repair fail somewhere else?

The rest of the pipe is unchanged, so a different weak spot can show up later. That is why we camera the whole line and tell you what we see.

How do I get a price?

Fill in the form or call 800-224-9245. We schedule a free camera inspection, show you the footage and send a written estimate.

How long does it take?

Most home repairs are finished in about a day. Longer runs, commercial lines and complex sites take longer, and we give you the schedule before we start.
